Ben was great. He installed and got our new dryer running after Costco delivery guys wouldn't, explained how we could improve our venting system but didn't hard sell. He even looked at and gave us some info about our non-working range fan. Very knowledgeable and helpful. So glad we called Bud Matthews.

Easy to schedule, friendly service, and reasonable prices. My refrigerator (but not freezer) was overheating after the power outage from Tropical Storm Chantal. Paul was great: he diagnosed the problem, found a stopgap solution while the part was being ordered, and completed the repairs when the part arrived. He told me everything that was going on with my refrigerator, how it works and what was broken. I appreciated how friendly and knowledgeable he was during his visits. I’ve used Bud Matthews Services before and have never been disappointed.

I'm a first-time customer of Bud Matthews Services. I chose them because they had good reviews online. Wow, am I glad I chose them! Bud Matthews Services responded quickly to my request for a wall oven install & cabinet customization job that I entered at their web site (i.e. within 1-2 hrs). I received a phone call from Morgan who was very pleasant and coordinated all of the required work. Dean Gaudreau was sent to my home the next day to perform a site visit before the job. He carefully listened to what I wanted and asked questions. He then identified the process and described how my existing cabinet would be customized to accommodate the new wall oven and existing wall microwave. You could tell that Dean is very knowledgeable. Being a System Engineer, I like the level of detail that Dean provided which put my mind at ease. Dean arrived the next day and was able to customize my cabinet, move the exist wall microwave, and install the new wall oven without requiring any additional materials. Electrician Mason McLean also arrived and quickly wired the wall oven into the existing electrical box in the cabinet. When they put everything back into the cabinet, we soon discovered that the original cabinet drawers were NOT installed properly which presented a few challenges. However, due to Dean's expertise, he was able to resolve these challenges. I was certainly impressed by Dean's "can-do", positive attitude (i.e. "...no problem..."). In the end, although I wasn't sure that the job could be accomplished the way I wanted it done, Dean was able to complete the project EXACTLY the way I wanted it to be done. I would highly recommend the Bud Matthews Services to anyone who has a custom kitchen appliance install project. These guys are easy to work with and I would certainly use them again. Thank you Dean, Mason, and Morgan for a job well done!!
Fixed my sump pump and cleared the crawl space of water. Checked and serviced my HVAC.

Brandon got our freezer going again very efficiently, allowing us to save a lot of frozen food. He was enjoyable to work with.
The flood on Sunday July 7, 2025 went into our storage shed adjacent to our house and covering the entrance to our crawl space. It took out our hot water heater. This shed had flooded including the crawl space w HVAC in June 2013 and we mitigated by closing off the vents around the house and had a door put on that entrance and a new door onto the shed itself. Also in 2013 we had our outside compressor unit raised up onto a high platform. In 2018 the same thing happened but the water did not go as high as this past Sunday. Everything was fine.This round was the highest we ever had. PSNC is no more so I contacted Bud Matthews Services as they did a great job installing a new dishwasher during the pandemic time AND fixing our 55 yr old drop in GE electric stove!They have done similar work for a neighbor in recent years. So, I called and within a day and a half the new unit was installed. The installer Jeff was great! Prompt, courteous, explained everything clearly and since our set up needed retrofitting he got the parts and did a great job!Thank you so very much! FH Schaefer, Chapel Hill
Pipes were doing some noises. They quickly solved the problem. Matt and Adam were diligent and responsible.

Mason McClean provided the best service I have EVER received from anyone. He had to install a trench from the septic system to the house. The ground in our yard is extremely challenging to dig. He told me what to expect and when to expect it. He did exactly what he said he would do and when he said it would get done. He worked on the project until after 9:00 PM and then double-checked all the connections to ensure everything was working properly. I have always found the service from BMS to be outstanding. This was an entirely different level. Thank you Mason!
My grandmother had a broken ac and the employees of Bud Matthews were gems in helping her fix it. She has felt supported by there services for over ten years and they have always been there. They go above and beyond in taking care of their customers. She says you can feel confident in their care. A special thanks to Jon Evan’s and manager Chris Kucmierz, who were brilliant in solving the problem and resourceful in making sure that she had a complete new system every employee at bud Matthew’s that she has encountered has been incredible, kind and reliable. We are so grateful for their services and beyond appreciative that she has air conditioning this summer and heat in the winter.Rebecca and Addison in the office will always get you where you need to go. Techs Tyler and Matt are outstanding and Jason, project lead, as well as Ricky and Johnny installed a new system with good spirit and precision. Everyone’s kindness is seen and appreciated. We would also like to add that Pat Hales has been of service for as long as we can remember, he is ethical and considerate beyond his services. I have always been pleased with the service from Bud Matthews and this time is no exception. I had the same technician who helped with my old refrigerator....all great.
Our AC went out right before a major heat wave was to hit in late June and we called Bud Matthews Services and they sent someone out the very same day that we called. Matt showed up on time and climbed into our pergatory of an attic and found the problem quickly and correctly while working in 115 degree heat up there. He had it fixed and running in about an hour. The price was very affordable and the labor cost was very modest considering the extreme conditions that Matt had to work in. We will be calling Bud Matthews the next time we have a problem!

It all started with the prompt and courteous service from Bud Matthews dispatch all the way to my home where JON the service tech arrived and had us up and running in no time!! We've used BMS a couple times in the last few years. I'd strongly recommend them for renovations. They were able to handle a complex renovation project that moved around plumbing for us. We live in an old house and we found some underlying problems with the house along the way. They helped us make educated decisions about how to fix these. They ultimately turned the ugliest and least functional rooms in our house to the best looking and most functional.

Ben was on time, polite, quick, and worked clean. Bud Matthews may not be the cheapest possible option, but they offer more value for your dollar than anyone I know. I don't call anyone but them for all my household repairs.
Ben has come out to help us multiple times. He always gets the job done, and I always enjoy talking with him as he’s working. It’s a bit strange to say that about a service call, but it’s true!

My appliance repair experience this morning with Ben and Brandon was outstanding. Very nice men, very friendly to the curious pug Buttons who visited them a few times. They replaced the door rubber gasket and the water input control sensor on my 2008 Whirlpool Duet clothes washer and got lint out of the exhaust piping of the 2008 Whirlpool Duet clothes dryer, and tested everything before leaving. The load I just washed came out great, no more leaks inside or outside the machine. The load’s in the dryer and that is working well too. Great job by Ben and Brandon! I hope Bud Mathews Services values them highly for a very long time.

Mason McLean efficiently removed two ceiling lighting fixtures and replaced them with two ceiling fans. Both fans work beautifully; Mason took great care with the installation. Mason also took the time to show me how the remote works for both the fan light and the fan speed; he showed me how to dim and raise the light. Furthermore, Mason removed the empty fan boxes and disposed of them for us. He offered to do the same for the lighting fixtures. I am so appreciative of the work Mason did, his good cheer, his professionalism, and his helpfulness. Five stars for a job well done and for clear communication.
It was nice to have two experienced, kind, hard working, pleasant people who did a wonderful job installing my new over the range externally vented microwave.
